Mark Dendy-Young has grown his winery and restaurant into one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Africa.  Some say it is the world-renowned cuisine which brings in its many visitors.  Others claim it is the breathtaking landscape.  All agree on one point - La Petite Ferme's award-winning wines are second-to-none.

 

Its allure continuously attracts visitors year-round.  Situated high up in the Franschhoek mountains, the vineyards face to the Northwest, allowing for cool mornings and long, warm afternoons.  

 

One might think continuous awards would commercialize the winery.  However, with Mark as the primary winemaker for 20+ years, and with many of its staff still with the organization after 30 years, "The Farm" still retains its original beauty, style and elegance.

 

As a family-run winery, Mark, and his father John, still lead the daily tour of the facility.  Families are invited to roam the grounds, and children are encouraged to run around both before (and usually more importantly ... after) the meal.  

 

The wines have consistently won numerous awards at the Michaelangelo International Wine Awards.  Each year, it is not unusual for the Top Honor of “Gran D’or”, or Double Gold, to come home to La Petite Ferme.
