Wine Sales Consultant Entry Level
 
Wine Sales Consultant Entry Level - New York / New Jersey
​

This is an entry-level position into wine sales. 

​

First and foremost, we are looking for people skills.  If you are respectful to others, are open to and enjoy meeting people, and are capable of courteous and timely follow-up, you are a good fit for this position.  If you enjoy working with wine, then this is an added bonus.  Whether you just graduated College in May or have a stellar sales career and have been looking to break into the wine industry, this is your opportunity to join a dynamic, fun-loving team.

Two things:

  1. We are a Start-up company.  We need partners who will say “Yes” when we need the help, no matter the request (within reason, of course);

  2. We are looking for people with Personality, Integrity, Reliability and Flexibility.  We’ll teach you the rest.

 

Responsibilities include:

  1. Promote our wines with prospective buyers at on-premise (restaurants, bars, hotels, clubs) and off-premise (wine and liquor stores) locations

  2. Make regular calls to both new and existing accounts

  3. Attend and / or lead wine dinners, trade and consumer tastings

  4. Must be willing to travel locally and work nights / weekends, as needed

  5. Consistent customer follow-up

  6. Be willing to continuously learn about wine

 

What are we looking for:

  1. Utmost level of Integrity, Honesty and Reliability

  2. Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills

  3. Enjoyment of Life – Why work with people who lack a healthy joie de vivre?

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Able to lift 45+ pounds (cases of wine, promotional materials)

  2. Must be fingerprinted by State of New York

  3. Must be 21+ years of age.

 

Compensation:

You will be hired as an outside salesperson.  Payment is commission based on sales.
