"The Wine is Born in the Vineyard"
Located in the rich and vibrant Maipú region of Mendoza, Argentina, the winery Mevi was started by two partners, Rolando Meninato and Oscar Vignart.
How did they name the winery? It's the first two letters of each partner's last name.
Rolando's and Oscar's roots in the region go back to 1991 when they opened their first farm, followed twelve years later by their first winery. In 2010 they purchased their current vineyard and built their grand tasting room, opening it to the public in April 2011. The property has 25 acres of vineyards mostly planted with Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
A "must-see" along Mendoza's "wine & bike route", their Bodega invites all to come relax with friends and family, to take-in the vista of their vineyards being watched by their towering mountain neighbors, and to sip life's goodness from a simple wine glass.

Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2015
Also aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, Mevi's Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva exhibits ripe fruit on the nose, along with candy flavors.
Coupled with Earth notes, it has a very nice mouth feel, along with has good color and body structure. On the palate, expect to enjoy red fruits, olives and tobacco.
Red meat, aged cheeses and stuffed pasta are ideal dishes for this wine.

Malbec 2017
This Malbec is accentuated with the taste of red fruit and a long-lasting finish. Ripe cherries and plums will be enjoyed both on the nose, as well as on the finish.
With its deep ruby red color, it is a big wine exhibiting nice integration of smooth, medium tannins along with fruit which is not overdone.
Ideal for grilled meat, cheese and pasta.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Along with its brilliant red color, this Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits fresh plums and cinnamon, along with other red fruits.
On the palate, a hint of black pepper, along with a balanced acidity, will be enjoyed at the end.
Typically enjoyed with aged cheeses, red meats and stuffed pasta.

Malbec Reserva 2015
With 12 months of aging in French and American oak barrels, this Malbec has taken the proper time to build proper structure, exhibiting both nice body and flavor.
With exquisite spice notes, this wine is consistently tapped as a wine to pair with steak. Expect to enjoy hints of raisins, strawberries and violets on the palate.
In addition to steak, can be enjoyed with soft cheeses and pasta.

Syrah Reserva 2016
Hearty and substantial, yet lighter than expected from a typical Syrah.
Easy-to-drink, with a hint of coconut and deep fruit flavors of figs, blackberries and cherries, this Syrah is also aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Pairs extremely well with steak, grilled meat and fish.
